Why do you require an on-site visit before providing a ballpark estimate?
To provide a meaningful ballpark estimate, we need a clear understanding of the space. An on-site visit allows us to evaluate the space in person and go through your client questionnaire with you to gain a clear understanding of your project. This includes reviewing the layout, taking quick measurements, discussing your vision, and identifying potential challenges or existing conditions that may impact the project.
What is the purpose of the client questionnaire?
The client questionnaire helps us understand how you live in your space, what is not working well, and what you want to achieve with your remodel before we meet on site. It gives us insight into your goals, priorities, and overall vision so we can make the most of our time together. By starting with this level of information, we are better prepared to evaluate your space and ask more focused questions during the consultation.
Pricing and Estimates
Do you offer free estimates?
Yes, we provide both a free consultation and a free ballpark estimate. During the on-site consultation, we review your project, discuss your goals and assess feasibility. A ballpark estimate is then provided within 7–14 business days to establish a general investment range before moving forward.
Do you offer financing or payment plan options?
Yes, we partner with Acorn Finance to offer financing and monthly payments with a simple, hassle-free, one-stop-shop for options sourced from a network of reliable lenders.
How much does a home remodel usually cost?
The cost of a home remodel depends on several factors, including the age of your home, the materials you choose, the size of the space, and the scope of the project. Plumbing and electrical work can also affect the final price. While an in-home consultation is needed for an exact estimate, typical home remodeling costs fall within these ranges:
Basement remodel cost: $30,000–$70,000+
Bathroom remodel cost: $50,000–$80,000+
Kitchen remodel cost: $50,000–$130,000+

What areas do you serve?

Do you offer design services?
Yes. Our process includes a structured design phase where you work directly with our designer to develop floorplans, elevations, and all material selections. Most of our clients choose to move directly into the design phase after receiving their ballpark estimate.
Do you handle permits and inspections?
Yes, Homecare Remodeling handles all required permits and coordinates city or third-party inspections. This ensures your project meets all building codes, is documented properly, and passes final inspection before we close out your project.
Do you provide a service warranty?
Yes, we stand behind our work with a one-year service warranty on workmanship. If anything related to our work needs attention after the project is complete, we’ll take care of it promptly. Our full warranty information is listed on every proposal.

During Your Remodel
What does the remodeling process look like from start to finish?
Every project begins with a client questionnaire and an on-site consultation, allowing us to review your goals and evaluate your space. From there, we provide a ballpark estimate to establish a general investment range for your project. After reviewing your ballpark, you will select one of our defined project paths to move forward, both of which lead through design and into a final scope of work contract. Once approved, we move into material ordering and scheduling. During construction, you’ll be paired with a dedicated project manager, serving as your primary point of contact every step of the way. You’ll also have access to Buildertrend, our online client portal that keeps all project details in one place. This includes scheduling, selections, photos, messages, updates and more–making communication clear and organized for everyone involved. We finish with a quality review, final inspections, and a detailed walkthrough to ensure every detail meets your expectations.
How long will my remodel take?
Timelines vary by project size and scope. On average:
- Kitchen remodels: 6–10 weeks
- Bathroom remodels: 4–8 weeks
- Basement remodels: 3-10 weeks
We’ll provide a detailed schedule before work begins and keep you updated if anything changes.
What happens if materials are delayed?
If any materials are delayed, we’ll communicate the issue right away and explain how it may affect your remodeling timeline. Our team will explore alternatives when possible and do everything we can to keep your project moving forward. You’ll always know where things stand, so there are no surprises.
What happens if I decide to make a change mid project?
If you decide to make changes during your remodel, our team will review the request with you and determine how it fits into the current scope of work. We’ll explain how the change may affect the timeline and provide an updated estimate if additional costs are involved.
How much will a remodel disrupt my home life?
A home remodel does come with some disruption, including noise, dust, and limited access to rooms. Our team will do everything we can to contain the construction mess, limit noise and provide a calm, well-coordinated remodeling experience.

Do I need to be home during my home remodel?
You don’t always need to be home. We can often work around your schedule, and our team will coordinate with you to ensure access and minimize disruption.
